As a stay at home mother of two, Kori found joy alongside her children in raising quail and chickens for egg production: much to the reluctance of her husband. Kori takes pride in educating her daughters about the importance of self-sustainability, animal husbandry and welfare, and the responsibility that is involved in their care.  What started as a small backyard flock quickly hatched into a small operation that still consists of the families pet, egg-laying chickens and quail: but now includes small flocks on their families farm just outside of Hastings, MN. 

Kori and her daughters, who primarily enjoy cuddling the birds instead of doing chores at their age, enjoy breeding, hatching and raising small flocks of "Black Beauty" Quail, Jumbo Pharoah or Wild Type Quail, and an assorted variety of rare and uncommon feather colors and types. The Rudiger family take pride in their commitment to the welfare of our animals.

We offer a range of poultry products, including non-fertilized quail eggs for eating, fertilized quail eggs for hatching, juvenile and adult live birds, as well as supplies specified towards the care of quail and chickens. Our birds are fed non-GMO feed, raised without antibiotics*, and ensured high quality care and enclosures. Annually in the Spring, Rudiger Hatchery and Urban Farm works with numerous hatcheries and retailers to bring you day-old poultry. Special orders are available upon request and can be fulfilled depending on the hatcheries availability.
